have you or anyone you know cut your own hair?

how did it turn out? do you have any tips?

i ask because im thinking about changing it up and i dont feel like making the trip to the hair dresser.

yeah. i always do. use a lot of mirros so that you can see your back good. i also use special scissors for hair.

I haven't been to hair salon for 5 years.

don't cut it yourself u will totally regret it. hairdressers have specials scissors and stuff.

I cut mine, just trim off the ends and let it hang.

As long as the dry ends are off it is ok.

I cut my bangs all the time, I feather them all the time. I throw it over the top of my head to trim the ends of the back. I get complimented on how neat it looks. (I am not bragging cause I am not a bragger. Be careful if you do it.

It's very difficult to get a good self-cut if you don't know what you're doing; invest in your looks and get a stylist to do it.

my sister does her own, has for years, and looks like crap. i wouldn't even trim my own bangs. cough up the $15 bucks or so it would cost you to go to one of the chain hair cut places and you'll be so much less disappointed.

Use some clippers with a short guard, 3/8" or so. Works good on me.

Maybe not for a lady, though.

I cut my own ahir someitmes.. I'm only 14 you know...

it's because at hoem we don'tjust use normal scissors... we have the blade thign that can thin out your hair, we use a pair of nrmal scissors and a pair of scissors where the cutting part looks like those flat combs... so that it isn't all straight and morel ike...different lengths...i mean it's the kind they use at salons...

alwyas turns out great.

I use like 3 mirrors... one big one in front of me, one big enough for me to hold up and see the back of my head... and an extra one for those hard to see places...

you should really get someone pro to do it.. i mean if you accidentally mess up....

for really special cuts, I mean really big big stuff, I just go and cough up the money, just because i'm gonna get tired holding up those scissors and the mirrors

my friend and i cut our own hair all the time and iti always comes out looking fabulous.

but...if you arent naturally inclined with scissors or you dont have the right ones you might want to go to the salon.
