Hair Advice?

I used to have shoulder hair length. Now, I have texturizer on my hair, because it's short.I did it myself. and it's fine.Sometimes I braid it.I am tired of the braids and would like to do something different like relax it.I am not sure what to do or which salon to go to because the last time I did my hair was damaged to the point where I had to cut every thing of.Can I relax my hair even though it has texturizer? If so Which relaxing product should i use? oh by the way I have the nappy thick black hair prior to texturizer. If a hair dresser can be recommended, can it be somewhere in Alexandria VA? I need your input thanks.

Hair Advice?

You can't put a relaxer on top of a texturizer. You have to grow out the texturizer just like you'd grow out a relaxer. Go to a beautician (I know, it can be scary) and find out what they think you can do. And blackhairmedia.com discussion forums do have a lot of advice about healthy hair growth.

Hair Advice?

Sorry I live in a different neck of the woods. One things for sure though it sounds like a big no-no using a relaxer on texturized hair! I just use the japanese hair straightening system (straightenex) 'cos I've got thick kinky italian hair. Hope I've helped a bit

Hair Advice?

I am not sure about a relaxer. But here are a couple of sites that has tons of great hair information..blackhairmedia, longhaircare and crown and glory technique. It is all about having healthy hair.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

I usually go to the hair dresser and get my hair pressed, but the lady has the tendancy to cut more then is needed when she trims my ends. I am not very good with managing my hair but i think I have a better chance I getting it to grow on my own. I have tried a line of products, but I cant use black hair care products for "nappy" hair since my hair isnt coarse.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

Get some tea tree oil, snd start wearing it natural. Put the tea tree oil on it when it's natural. It should grow your hair, then press it when it grows back. Black hair isn't nappy it's just thicker.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

first of all u shuldnt b so arrogant in sayin "good hair" thats kind of insultin derogatory term anywayz just go to the right stylist and wrap it every night with a thin tooth comb. Report It

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

I am trying to get my hair to grow longer for my wedding, and i am taking vitamin e. It is helping more that i can tell you, not only is my hair growing like crazy, my nails are too! you should give it a try.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

Firstly, there is no such thing as "good" or "bad" hair. There are just a variety of differenct hair types for African hair.

As far as growing your hair, limiting heat is key. You should try wearing a natural look or braids so that your hair can rest from the heat styling.

Also, be sure that you take a multi-vitamin with Iron, Biotin, and Folic Acid. Drink plenty of water and limit stress in your life.

I like to use Ojon products. They work wonders on my hair.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

Please oh please stop saying "good" and "nappy" hair. Our African ancestors thought all hair textures were good. Please remember that.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

I'm also black, and i don't have a pinch of good hair in me. I've been going to a hair shop for a little over a year now, and my hair has grown about 4 inches longer, and I'm still going every 2 weeks.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

Hair grows faster when you trim it, but since you said the lady cuts to much, be overly specific. Tell her exactly what you want and give her a number amount. If this still doesnt work, try someone new. Take a chance.

Good luck! =)

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

you cant make your hair grow longer at all...the only thing you should do is take these vitamins for hair, nails, and skin...these make it stronger so there is a less possibility from damage and breakage.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

HAIR DOES NOT GO FASTER WHEN U TRIM IT ITS GROWING FROM THE ROOTS NOT THE END!! BUT I HAVE HEARD TAKE VITAMIN E

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

What is "good" hair? Do you mean that you hair is naturally curly and has a soft texture? You can still use productd for black hair, you just don't need the relaxers or products used with relaxers. Getting you hair pressed can be just as damaging as getting relaxers if you are doing it really often. My daughter has naturally curly hair and I used Cream of Nature shampoo and conditioner for her hair and I oil her scalp with Coconut oil. You need to find a good shampoo and conditioner, you will also need to deep condition at least twice month. To recommend a shampoo for you I would really need to see your hair though. Make sure to keep your hair moisturized and get you ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks, if your current hair dresser is cutting to much hair, I suggest you find a need one. I prefer a male hair dresser because they tend to understand the concept of trim more than the female hair dressers, but that's just my opinion. There are a lot of options for natural hair now, and your hair doesn't have to be course to use them.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

There is no such thing as "good hair", we all have some sort of issue with our hair....

Try water based oil lotions, I can't use anything heavy either. If your hair isn't coarse it shouldn't be hard to grow long because it doesn't break as much. Try using aloe to moisturize your scalp...cut down on the heat styling, heat causes split ends and that will require more trims.

I'm growing out my hair also.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

There are several foods, vitamins, and products that can make your hair growth faster. Hair growth does take time. But, no matter how much hair trauma or slow hair growth you have experienced, your hair can grow at a normal than faster rate. There is no magic potion to hair growth---but, if you look at other cultures, like Native Americans, who only use products from the Earth and eat less foods with preservatives, they rarely encounter hair loss, skin problems, and ailments like we do.

As a stylist, I can tell you that the best way to grow your hair fast is to take care of your hair from the inside out. Assess whether you live an unhealthy lifestyle or use traditional drugstore hair products that contain alcohol and sulfates. If you do, you can potentially be stunting your hair growth. Switch to an all-natural hair growth product and follow the tips below. You will see a difference.

Tip #1: Change your diet.

Increase your intake of proteins. Eat fish, eggs, beans, yogurt, and cheese. Drink a soy protein shake daily.

Tip # 2: Drink plenty of water

6-8 glasses is a must. 8-12 is even better.

Tip #3: Get your vitamins

Take a B Complex, Fish Oil, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.

Tip #4: Only use an all-natural hair growth or hair thickening shampoos and conditioners

There are several good natural shampoos on the market, such as Aubrey Organics and Giovanni. However, I have used A Double Portion Super Hair Growth Shampoo on my hair loss clients because it is created specifically for hair growth and I have seen substantial results in a matter of month. It is full of hair growth promoting essential oils, sage, cayenne, neem, jojoba, and aloe. For my clients that used it, their hair got thicker, longer, and softer. You can find it online at www.discoverb4a.com. It is great shampoo just for making your hair more manageable and smooth as well.

Tip #5: Place as little heat and chemicals on your hair as possible. No hair coloring please.

Tip #6: Live a stress free life.

Tip #7: Get your blood flowing

Aerobic exercise stimulates blood circulation throughout the entire body, including the scalp. This is important for hair growth. Also, consider massaging your scalp for 5-10 minutes a day with warm olive or coconut oil. It will accentuate your hair growth as well.

I am black with "good" hair, how do I get my hair to grow longer?

i have hair like your if you mean curly hair but you shouldn't really be going around saying that, you can really offend people but i have i site for you

i tried the system and it worked but truly and really there is no magic product that will make your hair grow

Can I go from nearly Black hair, back to light brown/blonde???

Right, long story! I have naturally 'fair' hair. Goes mousey in winter and slightly golden in summer. I have always highlighted my hair.. but one time, the hair dresser got a bit carried away and put orange through it!?! Don't ask! Anyway, to resolve it, she stripped my hair, twice! As you can imagine, it wasnt good... i had bart simpson yellow hair, with orange streaks! I cried, a lot! Anyway, ended up having to die it dark dark brown.. and well it looks pretty much black! Luckily, I can get away with it, i've darkend my eyebrows etc..however i would really like to go back to a more natural colour. Its been nearly a year and half since my hair was stripped, and ive recently had it cut into a bob. So i think that most of the hair that was stripped will have grown out. Is it possible to go lighter, and if so.. how??!?! Obviously it will need to be done by a hairdresser, but just wondering how they can go about it?!?! I currently dye my hair myself. Thanks!

Can I go from nearly Black hair, back to light brown/blonde???

Well, my mom recently had the same problem. She has black hair and wanted blonde highlights, so we let our neighbor do it.BAD CHOICE.It looked horrible! She even followed a book that she had to tell her what it would look like if she put them in.Well, she had oarnge highlights too.She said she looked horrible. But, after almost half a year it started to blend in.Go to the hair dresser and tell her what happened last time and usually she will try her hardest nont to let that happen again.Hope my advice helps!

Can I go from nearly Black hair, back to light brown/blonde???

You have to bleach your hair. Then color it. Be sure you really want to do it though because it is that way forever, and you will definitely need it done professionally.

Can I go from nearly Black hair, back to light brown/blonde???

Try to find a salon that uses ( don't ask me how it is spelled but) illemonate or something like it. It is not a bleach it just takes the dye color out of your hair so it does't damage your hair.

I want to get my hair colored & permed....?

I want to get my hair colored the same as Drew Barrymoor in 50 first dates %26amp; the same wavy look (is that a perm?). My hair is slightly below shoulder length %26amp; is very thin. I've gotton it colored many times now and it's safe to say my hair is ruined. It has to be conditioned alot to de-tangle it. If i just use shampoo it sticks together and you would have to rip a brush through it. The ends seem to be always be fryed- no matter what, I thought after a haircut they would be fine, but still they are very brittle. But I basically just want my hair one color (blonde) with the wavy look. But is my hair gonna tolerate that? How do you go about having healthier hair? I assume you would have to buzz cut your head and start all over again to have it the way it used to be. If I do decide to get that wavy look like in the movie with the blonde hair... what do I tell my hair dresser? thanks!

I want to get my hair colored %26amp; permed....?

I'm not an expert, but it sounds to me like you should be more concerned with getting your hair healthy. The way you have described the condition of your hair, no perm or coloring job will look anything like the style your trying to achive, you will only cause more damage to your hair. But if you take care of the condition your hair is in first, you can then think about going after the style you want with a happier outcome. Ok so some rules of thumb to live by for hair care is..... DONT use JUST shampoo always use conditioner, remember the roots dont need it as bad as the tips do. The next thing is how you brush your hair, ALWAYS start at the bottom and work your way to the top, never start at the top and NEVER rip the brush threw the tangles that's why the ends are so fryed and brittle. You start at the bottom and gentlely work threw the knots. if the brush get stuck take the hair if your hand and work the tangle out. Since your hair does have some length think about maybe cutting it to about half an inch or inch above your shoulders to get rid of the split brittle ends, if that doesn't get rid of them all then I would try an get it trim 1/2inch every month or month an a half untill you get rid of the damaged ends. Once you have done that you should have hair that is healthy. And if you just HAVE to color your hair (which is very damaging but...) use Clairol Natural Instincts Level 2 its not a Permanent dye (those damage your hair) I had very damaged hair and colored my hair with it, and the condition of my hair was actually better then before I used it. The other great part about it is that it looks much more natural because you don't have the roots showing as your hair grows (I just hate that) and as it gradualy washes out your get great looking highlights, and again NO ROOTS showing. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, brush your hair correctly, use conditioner, and get it healthy before you perm it, and until then if you have to dye it do it right!!!!! Hope this helps!

I want to get my hair colored %26amp; permed....?

NO, do not put any chemicals in your hair right now,it will not tolerate it. It sounds like you need to cut more off, I'm not saying cut it really short, but have you thought about a bob, like between your jaw and top of the shoulder. The other thing ,do not use a brush on wet hair.

My destroyed hair!...help.! HOW will i fix it???!?

ok I used to have amazing long thick dark brown hair down to my elbows. Its naturally kinda wavy and poofy so ive been straightening it for years. 4months ago i dyed my hair blonde,(not highlights,a tint, all over blonde bleach) ...now its snapped and its to my shoulders without one single cut! (i loved my long hair!!)....Since then i have to wear extensions and i do love being a blonde with my extensions in and when im all do'd up but now all my roots popping up and are black against the blonde and my hair is falling out in chunks in the shower and every time i brush it and its sooooo thin. ive been crying so much! im too embaressed to go to hair dressers incase they look at it in disgust, chop my hair in a bob or they wont dye it back cuz then it'll snap more!!!Also it will cost a bomb, and I dont know any good hairdressers in Dublin!! HELP!!! I just want long flowy thick hair again... : (

My destroyed hair!...help.! HOW will i fix it???!?

When straightening you hair put a protector in it. Also use shampoo %26amp;%26amp; conditioner that revives damaged hair. When it grows back make sure you dont striaghten it everyday, and also i suggest not doing anything to harmful to it till its completely better. I hoped i helped!!! good luck %26lt;3

My destroyed hair!...help.! HOW will i fix it???!?

Hun, don't be afraid to go to the hair dresser. They won't laugh at you, i promise. They will help you.

Good Luck!

My destroyed hair!...help.! HOW will i fix it???!?

the best thing you can do is dye your hair brown. im sorry but bleached blonde isnt really worth being partially bald. once your hair re-grows (use tons of conditioners, moisturizers, and hot oil treatments/ also using straighteners on your hair everyday or any kind of ceramic heat WILL damage your hair) so yeah as soon as it regrows just get some nice blonde highlights then every now and then you can get more and sooner or later you'll have dirty blonde hair, and to me, that looks 100x better than broken up bleached blonde hair thats totally damaged. good luck.

Can anybody help with hair advice?

A 'friend' recently 'trimmed' my hair. It's always been fairly long and wavy/curly. Impossible to straighten no matter what which was just how I liked it. Nothing against straight hair-just looks shocking on me. Now have chin length hair that I can barely tie back and it's flat and straight regardless of what I try. Have used rollers, tongs.bendy rods, curl enhancing shampoos, conditioners, sprays, gels and creams. nothing works. Feel like blackadder!! Any suggestions welcome.

oh....my 'friend' is a hair dresser and has been cutting/colouring my hair perfectly for over 6 years...just in case you were curious.

Can anybody help with hair advice?

dont be afraid to tell your friend you dont like the way she cut it. ask her if she has any idea of what you cud do!! you cud also try a perm those last a while at least until your next opointment!! goodluck!!!

;-)))))

Can anybody help with hair advice?

ok since you want curly/wavy hair here's what i do cause i have straight hair so after you wash your hair, blow dry for 1 min. or air dry for 3-5 mins. then put lots lots lots of mousse all over your hair, then blow dry completely and start curling hair with a curling iron and every piece of hair you wrap aroudn the iron, count until 20 secs.

Curly hair?

I have naturaly curly hair but its dry, and dammaged and not looking to healthy at the min. big clumps are falling out in the plug hole and its just wrecked is there any tips on what to do? i try to straighten it but loads of hair just falls out i worried i may go bold.. my hair is very thin but lots of it i am to embarased to go to a hair dresser at the min i have been cutting the end off myself

Curly hair?

The first thing you can do is STOP trying to straighten your hair IMMEDIATELY! Straightening naturally curly hair (or any hair for that matter) is super unhealthy for it. It damages the hair, breaks it, dries it out, and a whole list of other nasty side effects.

I would strongly recommend going to the salon... better to be a little embarrassed than bald, right? I'm sure they have seen worse. Besides being able to give your hair a healthy and much-needed trim, they will have top of the line products for repairing damaged hair.

If you are really that embarrassed, some good steps to take in the direction of repairing your hair with store-bought supplies would be to completely stop using product (aka. Hairspray, mousse, gel, wax, etc.). Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (I like Infusium and John Frieda), maybe a 3-minute miracle lather (Aussie, John Frieda), and a moisturizing detangler (Infusium is my fave). If you can stand it only shampoo your hair every other day at the most! Shampooing dries hair, so instead just use the 3 minute miracle or just condition on the off days. Try to avoid products which are silicone based, Pantene Pro-V is a big NO... it might make your hair feel slick and moisturized but its really just coating or masking the damaged strand, not actually repairing it.

A final note, you might need to use an anti-residue shampoo such as Neutrogena if you start to feel any build-up. However, with naturally curly hair you shouldn't have too much of a problem. I hope all this helps and good luck!

Curly hair?

if its dry der r some special kinds of shampoos for da dry hair.. another gr8 way to improve ur hair is to use moisturizers nd creams.. this is all i could think of..anyways good luck! i hope i helped u in some way

Curly hair?

I rely on hair mousse to keep my curly hair under control. Make sure you use a really good conditioner but believe it or not a good shampoo will mousturise more than conditioner. Try mixing up a bit of conditioner with water in a spray bottle and spritz your hair all over. This will get it feeling really soft and freshens up a curly hair style. Lay off the straighteners for a bit because although my hair is really curly, my GHDs wrecked my hair after a year of using them and it went wavy and was burnt to a crisp! Avoid washing your hair every day, try every other day to keep some natural oils in. Feel free to email me if you want to know how I tame my hair and what products I recommend!! Good luck.

Just to add, ignore the people who tell you your hair falling out is a serious illness, people with curly hair will realise that you CANNOT brush curly hair, therefore, loose hairs stay tangled up until you wash it. When you wash it, all that loose hair that would otherwise be brushed out, comes out in the bath or shower.

Curly hair?

i heard that "horse and mane" shampoo works - no joke - i've never tried it though.

good luck!

Curly hair?

um i have very curly hair..i dont think it should be falling out....i use soo many prodects in my hair n its damaged too but it doesnt fall out as much as u say urs does so i really dont kno wut to tell you

Curly hair?

Ohmigod! you have exactly the same prob I did! dont worry, easily sorted! first of all throw your straighteners in the bin because they are frying your hair, secondly go to a good hair salon! get a good cut and make sure they do NOT razor cut your hair because this will tear your hair out more. Ask for a good trim, and hopefully it will start to look better! the best conditioner I have tried is kerastase oleo relax, it smooths your hair and regular treatments will start to put the moisture back in! gud luk

Curly hair?

The fact your hair is naturally curly, dry and damaged would not be the cause for it to fall out in clumps. What you are describing sounds more like a chemotherapy patient losing their hair. Are you taking any new medications or drugs??

You should definitely see a physician.

Curly hair?

I too have very curly short hair. it was extremely damaged and i lost alot of it from a chemical burn. A friend of mine told me to take a vitamin called Biotin. I take it and My hair started getting thicker and longer in just two weeks. You gotta take it everyday since its a daily vitamin, i have a 2500mcg bottle. Its not expensive and you could find it at any GNC or vitamin place. Try it what have you got to lose? Im telling you I thank my friend who referred it to me almost every day. Ciao!

Curly hair?

i Have Naturaly Curly Hair To and it is Really Herd to Take Care Of So i Started Using Mane 'n' Tail it Worked Great.. my Friend Use's it and it Works Great on Her Hair To..O and you Should Use Garnier Fructis because it worked Great on my Hair so it Should Work Great on your Hair too.

I want a rocker hairstyle but can't find anything that works with really thick hair...can anyon

my hair is about down to my shoulder blades, it was dyed red in march but has faded to something that no longer resembles flattering lol....along with the close to vanilla shaded skin the lady told me i had at the chanel counter it just makes it look worse....i'm looking for a really awesome cut and color to suprise people this summer? but whenever i see something i like, my hair dresser always tells me my hair is to thick for it....see, my hair is thick and it grows in thick which limits my cuts a lot lol.....and i can't seem to find anything really awesome...i ask my hair dresser for rocker but she gives me this short cut with curls and it looks more "shirlie temple" rather than "all i need is an awesome pair of jeans and a great studded belt"...any ideas would be great!

I want a rocker hairstyle but can't find anything that works with really thick hair...can anyone help me?

straightening ur hair would be a good bet...

cuz then no matter how thick ur hair is.. u can cut it just about any style...

and then, thinning it out would be a good step too...

and layers... definitely layers...

Hair styles for an 8th grader.?

i have thick, frizzy,DRY,curly hair. What is a quick hairstyle i can do for school?. Please dont say straight because i cant straighten my hair because its to dry and it takes 2 hours to straighten. usually i put mousse gel and hairspray in my hair but sometimes frizz breaks through those products. how can i style my hair without frizz showing? by the way my hair comes down to the middle of my upper arm and its angled. and if any one kn ows a hair cut to make my hair thinner and lighter please help me. and dont tell me to thin it out because myhair dresser said it would totally ruin my hair.

Hair styles for an 8th grader.?

straighten it .........lol

Hair styles for an 8th grader.?

um....get a lot of layers....that usally thins it out :P

Hair styles for an 8th grader.?

With very thick hair and expecialy frizzy DO NOT get layers because the shorter layers will frizz up even more and poof out and will turn even more uncontrollable.. i also have extremly thick frizzy hair and i have just had it slightly layered at the bottem its called graduating and i no u said dont say straighning but i was in the same case i had a pair of hair straightners that all my friends used and recommednded and loads of people recommended them but they still took 2 and a half hours to straighten my hair and they would leave my hair realy dry and even worse and i have just got a new pair the MK4 ghd they are about 鎷?00 (a lot of money i no but worth it) and it now takes around 15 mins to completly straighten my hair and it leaves it shinny and very silky, it worth getting a pair you will be amazed!!... :)

Hair dressers and Edie fans?

Has anyone seen "Ciao Manhattan" ?? Is there anyone who is a fan of Edie Sedgwick?

I am planning on cutting my hair quite short. A.T.M it is below the shoulders %26amp; dark. I think I want to go blonde but was wondering of the best ways of gradually going lighter. Any particular products you recommend?

The reason I brought up Edie is that I love her but my hair is too thick to go that short. I like the colour tho for me.

Hair dressers and Edie fans?

You can still go short if you have thick hair. It's all in the cut. I'd advise some razoring with a pretty sharp undercut. If you do anything else, you are not doing the Edie. Siena Miller's hair is fairly thick and she pulled it off.

As for going blonde, home blonding always looks cheap. I would go professional on this. With very short hair, single process blonde (what Edie had) will not be that expensive.

Omg, screwed up my hair?

Ohh myy godd!!!!!! ok i know this sounds relly stupid but i thought it would be fun to cut my own hair. So i trimmed my side bangs and they turned out beautiful... so i decided i could do layers, i tried to do layers now i have this big chunk and the bottoms reelllyy thin.. im 13 and my mom wont take me to the hair dressers today, thank god its saturday. the one layer is two inches below my chin, and the rest is like down to my breast OMG WHAT DO I DO ? or what should i ask for at the hair dressers to fix it and make it look nice ?

Omg, screwed up my hair?

When you go to get you hair cut get it cut so that it's short in the verv front and then eventually goes back into the length it is now. My friend has her hair like tat and it's really pretty.

Omg, screwed up my hair?

you might have to get it all cut that short to look normal

Omg, screwed up my hair?

LMAO!!! omg im soo sorry!! just put it up til then and when u see the hair dresser then tell her to FIX ur layers im sure she can do something to help... tell her u want long layers make sure u tell her long layers tho im forreal or u will look like a mushroom head.

Info on hair extensions ( UK)?

Hi, I really want to get some fake ( not human hair) extensions. Can I buy them off the internet and take them to a hair dresser to have them dyed and cut or am I better of going to a salon and getting them orderd in from the actual hairdressers?

Info on hair extensions ( UK)?

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 5 years and my expertise is in hair extensions. There is no way you can recolor fake hair. Fake hair is synthetic fibers so if you try anything of that sort it will either tangle or melt. You will have to go human hair on this one. If you don't know a good brand, go to a stylist to help you out.

Info on hair extensions ( UK)?

Before you decide on your hair extensions you should try some clip in to see the desired effect! Choose from synthetic hair extension styles in straight and wavy or the 100% fine human hair extension system. Affordable, lightweight and easy to attach without damaging your hair.

The one good thing about the human hair extensions, is you can treat it like your own as with the synthetic type you cant put heat near it as it will melt!

There are loads of salons and mobile hairdressers, that specialise in extensions these days,so shop around before you have them weaved into your own hair!! It is expensive, and they do need allot of care !! good luck,....there are loads of shops which sell the weave ,clips then have to be added on to this.. you can chose 2/3 colours to blend into your own hair colour. most salons want you to use their hair! which is understandable..

Info on hair extensions ( UK)?

I am a hairdresser and we used to get people coming in with hair extensions for them to be put in. The best hing to do is to get the colour that you want, go to a store first to make sure that you will order the correct colour. Hair extensions can be darkened with care but no lightened. The lightening process can melt fake extensions.

The best thing to do is check with your local salons to make sure that they are willing to put them in for you. We used to do them if they where the strip extensions and the glue was provided also. So it depends on what type you order.

Info on hair extensions ( UK)?

I would go to a Salon Services. If you have one near you. This is a supplier for hair salons and if you where to get 3 sets of hair extensions depending on how thick your hair is. Get 2 sets the same and one colour different to make it multy toned its more natural looking. This will Cost around about 鎷?0.

Why is a tip still expected by a professional hair stylist when they're getting 50%+ of the tot

Your hair stylist does not get minimum wage or less - like the wait staff, bartender, car valet. Most hair dresser gets 50% or more of what YOU just spent in the salon + bonuses,.And if you bought some products (they insist you need, like shampoo etc, ) they get even more. Ladies, honestly, that $200+ bill you just plunked down for your cut %26amp; color, while your stylist attended 2 clients as your color came up, just made $300+ for their pocket. Why are we tipping them? If they are a professional they should not be tipped. You don't tip your doctor, your tax guy, or your mechanic - why should we tip the professional hair dresser? I am not taking about the discount hair salon chains with the low cost cuts - I am talking about the salon who wants you to have "an experience" because of all their "ambiance". I say it is time to stop this tip %26amp; hope you 'll "experience" the ambiance of a bit more cash to tip the person at minimum wage - they need it, not your professional stylist.

Why is a tip still expected by a professional hair stylist when they're getting 50%+ of the total bill?

AMEN!!!!!! It's getting to where you need a small personal loan to get a f---king haircut. I totally agree. I don't tip nothing more than a 4 dollar tip. Call me cheap or whatever, but I refuse to pay someone with NO EDUCATION $100 more an hour just because you will call me cheap. by the time the hour ends some of them are making $75 to $100 an hour. That's bull sh--t.

Why is a tip still expected by a professional hair stylist when they're getting 50%+ of the total bill?

I never said anythin about having to pay for insurance, or doctors for that matter, and made no such comparrison. Get your facts straight! Report It

Why is a tip still expected by a professional hair stylist when they're getting 50%+ of the total bill?

I read this and laughed. It is true and it's funny. Getting your haircut and styled or whatever...costs alot...why tip?

Why is a tip still expected by a professional hair stylist when they're getting 50%+ of the total bill?

If that is how you feel, I hope I never see you in my salon. I went to school for 2 years to learn how to do hair, and we don't make as much as you seem to think we do. We do not get any sort of hourly pay at all. The only income we have is given to us by our customers. If we are lucky enough to make $500 a week, $125 goes towards booth rent, and about $200 goes towards products (back bar, color, developer, perms, etc.) So we only really get to bring home maybe $200 a week. A tip is not required anywhere you go. It is to show that you appreciate the work that has been done, to show that you like your hair, or you appreciate the prompt service that the waiter/waitress gave you. You need to open up your mind.

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

I just cut off about 10 inches of hair. and my hair is above my shoulders for probably the last 14 years I have been able just to throw it in a ponytail. My hair is really curly but my hair dresser straightened it and now I need to know what kind of products I should be using?? I know I need a hair serum. But what is the best drug store brand you can get

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

Remington slim wet2straight Straightener is really really fantastic. I use it, and it replaces blow drying and helps styling. There's 30 heat settings and a hair guide so you can straighten your hair while it's still wet, and it has steam sensors so it won't damage your hair. Takes about 10-15 mins for you length hair. If not, just get some bain de terre all day straight gel, or aquage products for straighteneing. Best of Luck!

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

I too have curly hair, really really curly hair. When ever I get it straighted i use John Freeda Collection serum. It works amazing. You can also use this when your hair is curly. When getting out of the shower put two or three pumps into your hair and work it through, put it in a bun, and go to sleep with it. When you wake it, it looks AMAZING. so its like a 2 for 1 special!!!

Good luck

Hair products to help curly hair staight??

i have SUPER curly hair.

if i dont brush it alot i look like shirley temple.

so what i do is use.....

*shampoo and conditioner--garnier fructis sleek and shine

*right out of the shower--studio heat seeker straightening cream by loreal.

*straightener--im not sure what its called. but i got it at walmart for cheap...$24 i think. its from conair and its black. it should say that it has "high alpha heat" on the little plastic thing it comes in.

Highlights for very dark hair?

I have dark dark chocolate brown hair (looks black). I want to high light my hair again but im afraid to mess it up, because my friend did and it looked way bad.

Im looking for a color that blends in with my hair, a natural tint.

I used to have them but they wore off and i got the last of them cut off.

Can a hair stylist/dresser or anyone with hair like mine with highlights give me some tips for colors!!

OH AND PS- NOT LOOKING FOR ANY WACKY COLOR LIKE NO PINK OR BLUE OR GREEN.. JUST LIKE A CARAMEL.. or a bronze.. something like that.

THANKS %26lt;3 !!! :D

Highlights for very dark hair?

a tan or a caramel or lt. brown

Highlights for very dark hair?

like a honey

Highlights for very dark hair?

lowlights...they work wonders!!make sure you get it almost ur natural color,a lil lighter though so u won't look goofy when it grows out.

Highlights for very dark hair?

i would say get a dark caramel copper golden (somewhere around there)color ..... you cant fail with that if you go to a good hairstylist

Highlights for very dark hair?

My friend's hair is the same color as yours, and she got honey-gold, a really dark blonde, and auburn, and it looked fabulous on her!!!

Highlights for very dark hair?

http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht...

Highlights for very dark hair?

i wouldn't get anything lighter than regular brown for what your hair sounds like. I've seen some people's highlights, and their hair looks like a creamcheese brownie. Blonde streaks won't do anyone but blondes any good. And why ruin your hair. I think highlights are STUPID. Lol, maybe I'm just saying that cuz i have natural ones that look good.

Highlights for very dark hair?

red. red is a good colour for highlights if your hair is dark

Emo hair! help plzzzz?

laaame.

Emo hair! help plzzzz?

What's wrong with just asking for an emo haircut. I bet if you asked the hairdresser to cut it how you described, they'd say "you mean an emo haircut?" Emos are fags.

Emo hair! help plzzzz?

just search something like "emo hair" or "scene hair" on photobucket. there are TONS, and then print it off and take it to the salon

%26amp; please help me! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Emo hair! help plzzzz?

Hair dressers are there to cut your hair, they don't care what you're into or whether or not you're emo. Ask for whatever cut you want. Tell the hairdresser exactly what you wrote here:

"i want it cut so its like long emo hair with like a long side fringe and short layers that wont fit in a pony tail but i dont want it to look like a mullet."

That's perfectly clear. If it's a specific look you want, search around for a picture to bring with you. Or bring a couple pictures and say you want the bangs from this picture and the back from the other one. Really, they don't care. They're there to give you what you want and make it look good, that's why you're paying them.

Spiky hair style?

Spiky hair style?

It's called choppy layers. I have like, the exact same hair.

Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

I'm wearing my hair big and curly now, but have set up an appointment with my hair dresser this Wednesday for a Kelis cut: http://www.virginmedia.com/microsites/si...

This obviously calls for straight hair and since I have to cut it anyhow, I figure I should relax it, right? I keep hearing that I shouldn't relax my hair since it IS texturized [last month]. What are my options?

Is it safer to texturize or relax my texturized hair?

a texturizer is just a milder relaxer, so by relaxing texturized hair it will be over processing your hair...it may be okay if your hairstylist knows exactly when to take the relaxer out to keep your hair healthy

How to wear my hair?

have brunette long hair down to just below my breasts. It is quite thick and I straighten it all the time. I also have a thin side fringe, but as I have never had a fringe before I don't know what styles look good. So far I have just left it down, but I am getting bored of that and need some fresh ideas.

Please give my some good new hair styles that I can wear everyday at uni and when I am just chillin out etc,

Thanks for any ideas!

I don't mean how to get it cut like at a hair dressers, I mean how to wear it everyday, you know like ponytails, one side clipped back etc.

How to wear my hair?

omg you people are such idiots

(not the person asking the question)

yh,

umm how about high ponytail and just letting the fringe come down on your face?

not very creative but all i could think of.

How to wear my hair?

Try wearing it in a high pony tail leaving your bangs loose.

Also try briding it in ones or twos. And if u fancy, having it braided for a few hours (especially if u braid them right after u towel dry your hair)... you can later let your braid loose and wear it down. This will give u gorgeous loose waves in your hair. All u have to do is put your fingers through it and shake it a bit to make it look natural.

Another style u can try is by taking very small sections of your hair (maybe half inch width) and braid it. Just randomly select sections. Basically, this also help make your hair look less thick.

Hope this helps. Let me know how u get along.

Good Luck!

p/s: if u fancy more tips, just get back to me k.

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

I am 13. I am african american. I want a change for 2008. For my hair I mean. My hair is medium length. I am african american but I have really nice hair. Its thin but it gets really straight with just a wash and set. But anyway i want to know what i should do with my hair for the new year. My mom said she does NOT want me to cut it or add weave and my hair dresser said that she dont want to put highlights because it could potentially ruin my hair. Idk what else to do with it. Maybe curl it or something. Ive already tried falt twists %26amp;%26amp; twists. any other suggestions? Can u please rate me from 1 to 10. Im not desperate I just want to know what u think. Know that i wear glasses too. But they arent dorky. I dont have a pic of me thats recent with glasses.

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

Currently i have long hair and have been learning alot so...

i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) so i can show you how to take care of hair with or without a relaxer. With relaxers retaining moisture is key

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Sap Moss...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is great for relaxered hair.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge. Put your your sections use a big tooth comb, to untangle it

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great. You will also need protein and deep conditioning treatments alteast once a month.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp(3-4 times a week) and your ends(everyday) so that they will not get dry and unhealthy Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction ( in other words do not use grease) it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils grapeseed oil ( use it for hair it deflects heat so it is good for flat iron users like us)

jojoba oil(i use this for my scalp), extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.I also use Aveda's Brilliant ( the name of the brand) emollient for my ends.

5. Next..if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi(however chi flat irons do not work in France)..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda. When flat ironing your hair do not let the iron stay on your hair for too long, just 1-2 quick swipes.I strongly advise against flat ironing hair with relaxers.

6. If you have a relaxer ( i have heard and seen that Affirm is the best relaxer) don't continue to relaxer all your hair everytime you go to the salon..just the new growth and try to stretch relaxers as long as possible. Rollersets under hooded dryers, with the lowest setting at possible temperature is recommended.

7. You do not need to trim your hair everytime you go to the salon maybe every 3 to 6 months.

8. Wrap your hair in a satin or silk scarf to prevent damage before you go to bed.

9. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

10 take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these basics steps, can manuver them according to your needs ( like some don't do oil or or protein treatments, some oil everyday while others once a week, some people wash their hair once a week while others once every two weeks , but you have to the basics.)

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

beg your mom to let you layer you bangs...

then you should dye the bottem layer of just your bangs.

i did that and it is awsome...

for real...

:]

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

if i were you i would use curl defining foam after you get out of the shower+when your hair dries. It will add a bit of a wave to it

a curl would be fun too!

good luck! +happy new year

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

You are a beautiful girl and you would look even BETTER with longer hair. So grow it out. If not that then you should put higlights in it (any color would look great)! Mayb you could also put it up with some cute clips! Hope this Helped ;)

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

I think it is already in a super cute style. To dress it up for New Years, just get the ends all flipped out with a flat iron and sweep your bangs to one side.

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

Shorten the lenhth of your bangs so it does not overwhelm your pretty eyes. It should just tip those gorgeous brows and brow bone I see hidden underneath. As suggested before, instead of a blunt even cut on the bangs, layer them a little chunky and side sweep the bang but keep the centre cut on the overall hair style.

Use a thinner hair band for your face type. One that is not too thin but not as thick. Consider about 1/8-1/4 inch wide bands and consider a matte metallic (not shiny) and material cloth covered for the young fresh look. Shiny wide plastic is too youthful for your age now.

I like to see your hair just past shoulder tip length but still keep the layer in the front like you have it now but begin the layering at just the bottom of your cheek bone coming down.

This will give you a bit of a sophisticated look but not older woman. It should give you a good "tween" look that is not girly but not older woman.

Otherwise, your overall hairstyle is great for you just the bangs are overwhelming and taking center stage of the hair style.

Good luck and much prayers

Plzzzzz help. its a hair situation!?

Maybe you can have spiral curls,it can last up to 2 weeks. It would be very cute.

Good luck and Happy New Year

Ever had a bad hair day?

i dyed it wrong.(9-10 years ago)...

and the last time i went to my hair dresser(last month), and not the person i usually use cut 4/5 inches off my hair into a bob (above the shoulders, neck length) i only asked her to take off 1 inch....

its already grown 2 inches and grows fast. ( :

Ever had a bad hair day?

yes

Ever had a bad hair day?

i always have a bad face day :(

Ever had a bad hair day?

yup

Ever had a bad hair day?

I've never had a good hair day! This avatar is not far wide of the mark!

Ever had a bad hair day?

used to have bad hair days!

my hair grows fast too!

Ever had a bad hair day?

of course

Ever had a bad hair day?

uh everyday!

Ever had a bad hair day?

who doesnt

Ever had a bad hair day?

yup.

Ever had a bad hair day?

Oh yeah, I have a lot of bad hair days..weeks...years...I used to have straight-above-the-eyebrows bangs!

I died my hair several times and it started getting thin and the ends wwere all split,I asked my hairdresser to take an inch off of my hair and she cut it right above my shoulders, it was lame! My hair is just past my shoulders now.

Hair Problem ????

well i do have long hair and i want it even to grow longer but i want it to be strong too. i dont want to cut it.

i recently went to my hair dresser who used something which i believe was bleach to remove the black colour from my hair but after that i feel my hair has been weak and look dry all the time

can someone advice me

Hair Problem ????

Get a good trim (half an inch would be sufficient), it really does help your hair look better. Also, get a professional deep conditioning treatment, and follow this up with home treatments regularly.

Bleach is seriously bad for your hair, but unfortunately it's the only way of making dark hair lighter.

Hair Problem ????

you have nits

Hair Problem ????

Get a moisturizing shampoo. I use

HELLO HYDRATION

HERBAL ESSENCES

Hair Problem ????

get a special shampoo that ids for died hair it'll make it stronger and look healthier not pantene or garnier fructis though they suck

Hair Problem ????

Well, the only thing you can do is trim at least 1 inch off of it, otherwise your hair would have split ends and it won't grow any longer.

Hair Problem ????

Bleach weakens hair and since you're a muslima, covering your hair for pro-longed times can also weaken, thin, and possibly bald your hair as well.

Hair Problem ????

Yes..Sounds like you have damaged hair!

ahhhh

Get a trim to get those split ends out

next use Herbal Essence Hydration product

Give their Shampoo and Conditioner a shot.

It treats your hair like magic :)

http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect...

Best Wishes!

Hair Problem ????

use a deep conditioning masque like garnier or bumble and bumble you might like it or if its really serious go to your stylist and ask her/him for a salon quality moisterizer

Hair Problem ????

there are some shampoos you can try that help thicking and make ur hair longer go to http://www.rushindustries.com/ that will help alot

Hair Problem ????

well, the bleach or whatever your hair dresser used on your hair may have affected it. also, haven't you heard that shorter hair is stronger? no split ends! easier to manage.

i heard that if you shave bald, your hair will grow out stronger and more beautiful than ever. i also heard that it's not good in a way either, but i can't remember why.

dump your hair dresser, get another one. JK =]

Hair Problem ????

use a moisturizing shampoo. It will give vitamins to your hair to make it stronger and hydrate it.

Hair Problem ????

even though you want your hair to grow, you have to get it timmed once in a while to keep the ends looking healthy. and if our hair dresser did use bleach, which she/he most likely did, bleach does damge your hair. you need to get some professional shampoo and conditioner to get your hair looking more healthy. i would highly reccommend Paul brown keratin spray. Your hair is made up of keratin and this keratin spray puts the keratin back in your hair. i recently grad. from beauty school and i use keratin spray every day. You should look into gettin that spray.

Hair Problem ????

I advise you to slap your hair dresser bc she weakend your hair drasticly. Honestly if you trim off the weak hair itll start growing strong again, my hair did.

Hair Problem ????

I would try some Paul Mitchel Conditioner

I would try some Paul Mitchel Shampoo

And Then Use A Hair Pic And Go Through Out Your Hair

Best Regards,

Gordon %26amp; Rylee

Hair Problem ????

you need to get it cut every 6 to 8 weeks just 2 get rid of the split ends which helps it grow. go 2 Ur local shop like asda and get a shampoo conditioner and conditioner treatment called three minute miracle just the shampoo and conditioner everyday and use the conditioner treatment every other day put it on just to the mid lengths and ends comb through then you can either sleep wid it in and wash it off in the morning or you can leave it on for 10 Min's that will help.

if you don't want it 2 weaken don't have bleach on Ur hair as this is one coUrse that will make it split also u never mentioned weather u straightened ur hair but i would advise you not 2 use hair straighteners

Hair Problem ????

I would say get a trim to get rid of the split ends. Theirs this leave in conditioner by matrix its about 15 dollars but it protects your hair from any type of heat. Also theirs this hair product I got for xmas its by Muran its a hair treatment Ive been using it for 3 days I can really feel a difference in my hair. I dont have as much breakage as I did before it really works. I hope I was able to help you out.

I just bleached my hair, how long until i can bleach again?

I just bleached my hair and then I put a medium blonde on it. I am using toner shampoo and conditioner to get rid of the yellowy and brassy tones. I did my bleaching and dying last week. how long should i wait before bleaching again so I can get up to a platinum blonde?

P.S. i am not going to go to a salon even though i prob should. I know bleaching damages your hair severely and I have been using hair repair treatments. Also I had cut off and grown out my hair totally naturally and got trims every month or so. I also got a trim a day or so after my last colour was put on my hair and the hair dresser said my hair was in good condition and only had to cut off half an inch to get rid of dead ends. PLEASE HELP ME

I just bleached my hair, how long until i can bleach again?

You should be able to bleach it again if it's in good shape. You have to remember though that you put color in it last week. So, you're bleaching over bleach AND color. Put the bleach on the ends first and after about 15 minutes put is on the new growth. This will help make the color more even. It will take longer to bleach the color out. Roots usually lift up faster because they are close to the scalp and stay warmer. Heat speeds up the bleaching process. Just make sure to remember and use a good reconstructor once a week.

I just bleached my hair, how long until i can bleach again?

From personal experience i know for a fact you have to wait about 8 weeks or you will start damaging your hair.

that is the mistake most people make

Hair extensions?

Im curious about getting hair extensions...but i know nothing about them! How do the differ from a weave? what should i tell my hair dresser? Will they match my hair colour to the extension? Will they cut them to match my hair style? how much should I expect to pay?

Hair extensions?

Judging by your avatar, your hair looks nice, but yes. Your hair dresser will show you the different types of extensions that will be best for your hair texture and color. Prices vary by:

Style (Long,short,wavy?,etc.)

Length of Extension (How much hair do you want?)

Color or Added Color

Texture (Human hair or Synthetic?)

Time (How long will it take the hairdresser to do the job?)

(Now) if you choose human hair (which cost more) ,then it can be colored to match your own hair. Synthetic hair can not be colored.

"Hope this helps!"

Hair extensions?

http://naani.com, they have a really nice guide in there that answers most of your questions...last time I didn't have to be a member to view the material, but this time around i noticed they want you to have a user name. good luck!

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

My natural hair color is medium brown. Last year, I went to my hair dresser and colored it red for a drastic change. Since then, I've used color out of a box and I've been back to my stylist once. I am trying to get it back to brown, but every color that I use or my stylist uses goes back to red after a few weeks.I don't want to keep coloring it every few weeks. She told me that the only way to get it back to its natural color is to bleach it and then color it. Is this the only way besides letting it grow and cutting it? My hair is pretty long and I don't want to cut it and it looks really bad letting it grow on its own. Is the bleaching and coloring something I can do on my own or should I go to a stylist? Is there anything that will just take all of the color out and take it back to its natural color? Thanks.

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

There are products that can remove color molecules, however, it can be very damaging to your hair. It sounds as though your stylist is using demi or semi-permanant hair color which will eventually fade. She/He may need to use something that will last longer if you are happy with the outcome of the color immediately after they have colored your hair. Red is one of those colors that is VERY difficult to cover or "bleach" out. My reccommendation would be to have a consultation with a very experienced colorist... might be worth paying the big bucks.

Good Luck!!!!

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

The bad thing about bleaching and coloring is that the color will fade too...so you will have to be very careful and keep on coloring it until your hair grows out long enough that the bleached part is gone...and please go to a stylist to get your hair bleached...

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

i had the same problem once and i bleached it first it turned out to be orange well and after 5 times bleached (i looked horrible) we got it down to yellow after that we put the brown color on it and it turned out to get this green shimmer not nice at all i wouldn't do it again

now i got it black

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

Sweetie? Your question hit home with me because I had exactly the same problem. I used that Loreal Feria and I looked like a stop sign. It took me dying it the darkest brown I could find to get it back to a very dark brown, which is my natural color. It has taken a few times and guess what, it is now a bit darker than my natural color but it sure is better than having all that red. Try the darkest brown you can find but first, go to your local hair place and have a deep conditioning done. It doesn't cost that much and your hair will feel so wonderful and it will be free of all the waxes, etc.....that we put on our hair every time we wash it with store bought shampoos. Then dye it the darkest brown you can find. I'm pretty sure the results will look awesome on you. I know you are very pretty because you care about your appearance enough to post on here and ask. Good luck Sweetie. I hope you take my advice and try it out. :)

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

You need to go to a more experienced stylist; you need restorative filler and then color. It will cost, but only way to guarentee natural color.

How do I get my hair back to its natural color?

Wow sounds like your trying to acheive what i just did today with my stylist!!...i made the mistake of dying my hair really dark like 2 weeks ago, i freaked out and wanted my blonde back...first a hair dresser attemped just to put blonde highlights in it and that didn't go so well...but i found this amzing hair dresser that used this stuff on my hair that toned down the darkness in my hair...then she applied a semipermanent blonde color to my hair to tone down the darkness as well and also to take out some of the redness in the hair (the dark color i chose was an auburn/brownish color) and now my hair is pretty much back to my natural dirty blonde color with the highlights that the other hairdresser put in the week before! I will be going back in another week or two just to put more highlights in my hair (i want to be very blonde). You may need to call around a bit and even go into some places to speak with them and find out if they can help you...one place didn't think i could tone it down while the place i ended up going to was able to and it looks great now!

**Good luck, hope this was of some help!

Waht do u think of this joke friends is it funny?

A blonde walks into a salon wearing headphones and asks for a hair cut.

The hair dresser tells her she has to remove the headphones.

The blonde replies, "I can't remove them or I'll die."

The hair dresser sighs and decides to cut around them.

After a few minutes, the hair dresser tells the blonde again,

"Look, you have to take the headphones off so I can cut your hair."

The blonde still insists that if she does, she'll die.

Once again the stylist tries to cut around the head phones.

Frustrated, she tells the blonde, "I'm taking the headphones off, I can't cut your hair with them on."

Before the blonde has a chance to reply, the stylist rips the headphones off and the blonde falls to the floor dead.

Curious and devastated, the stylist wonders what was on the headphones that would cause this poor girl to die without them.

She picks them up and listens, "Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale..."

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

i have just had my hair done with a small hairdressers, never again. i had quite long hair and wanted it cut to my shoulders and now its justwhere my ear line starts, the colour she put on is awful, it was a chesnut brown and it turns a ginger colour in the sun. I have found a PROFFESIONAL! Hair dressers now but i want them to style colour and highlight my hair, can this all be done in one visit?! how much is it roughly going to cost?

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

Yes it can be done all in 1 day. For a professional cut, color, and highlight- you will be looking at roughly $60 for the style/cut, $45 for the color, and $25 - $30 for the highlights.

You can do the color/ highlights now just to see if you like the way it comes out and if you want to spend any more of your money there. If you like it and all is well, go back for the style/cut the following week or so after the color/highlights has had a chance to settle in.

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

Yes it can for about 15 bucks.

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

yes they can but i think am guessing you are talking about at least 鎷?0 to 鎷?0 pounds if you are going to a more proffessional salon but they will proberly be worth it goodluck.

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

They should be able to do it all in one visit. They will put the highlights in first, do the main colour around the highlights and then once the colouring is done they will cut and style it.

Cost depends on where you are - it is likely to be more expensive in big city salons

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

yes it can be done in a day. But as for cost depends on where you live. In my area, a new hair color plus highlights is around 35 to 60 dollars. Call and ask them before you go.

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

Yes..it would cost about 85 Euro. =^..^=

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

Yes, they can absolutely do it all in one day. What you can't do is perm and colour in the same day. The cost will depend on your salon, and the process they will have to go through to get your colour that you wish to achieve, you're best to call ahead and ask

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

u just learned a good lesson, i learned years ago. good thing hair grows back and can be changed. i would wait a few weeks and than go back to a proffessional and i believe u can have it styled, colored on the same day. u don't want to put too much chemicals in your hair in such a short time period.

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

This can be done... question though.... is your base color now darker than you want it? I know it's the wrong color, but i'm talking depth of the color. If it is darker, you need color correction... then you are probably looking at two days. One to reestablish a base. Correction is expensive and can take hours. I hope the base is ok though.... in which case.... Your hair would be placed in foils, and colored in between the foils. If necessary, Your highlights would be toned when the rest of the color is rinse, then to the cut and style! So.... Yes.... can be done. For this service.... my prices are: $50/single process (base color) $130 full highlight, $30 toner, $50cut/bd...... Give you an idea? Hope this helps.... Good luck!

I want my hair coloured al over highlighted and styled, can all this be done on the same day?

yes it can.

cost depends on where you live.

where i live it would be:

hilites=150

color=75

cut=40

check out ' scruples ' . they have a hilite system that cuts thru old haircolor and will be the same color - roots to ends. this system stops working when it's done. it gets to the color it's supposed to and doesn't get lighter or darker. it's easy to work with and doesn't dry the hair out like most colors/hiliting systems do.

What is the best salon/hair place in north county San Diego ?

I've been growing out my hair for awhile. Im super freaked to have someone new cut it (i had an awesome hair dresser in the bay area). I have wavy/poofy hair. Also looking to spend about 20-30 on the cut (not including tip).

What is the best salon/hair place in north county San Diego ?

Any where in La Jolla is great!

What should i do about my hair?

my hair is way long.i cut my self some bangs like 3 months ago and they look pretty good.i want some more bangs and shorter hair though, but heres the catch i always were my hair up.like have you ever seen that kinda emo style hair?well imagine that with a bun or whatevr in the back.what should i do?go to a salon to try to explain it to the hair dresser or,try to do it on my own?sorry i couldnt provide a picture

What should i do about my hair?

i would go to the salon, have her cut it, then come home and make it look more emo by cutting it choppier. thats what i do everytime i get my hair cut.

What should i do about my hair?

please, please, PLEASE go to a hair salon!! doing it yourself can end up being pretty awful...

What should i do about my hair?

Well thats a hard question but you really should go with your hair like I have curly hair and I always try to make it straight but that sometimes doesn't work so I have this gel that controls the curls and if I use that I pull the look off wiht my natural curls you should so work with straight hair if you've got it het some cute side bangs and get some layers around the face area

What should i do about my hair?

How a shampoo cleans your hair is what makes you fall in love with it or wish you閳ユ獓 never purchased it. Some shampoos are aggressive and not only sweep away dirt, but also your hair閳ユ獨 protective sebum-in fact, some are so aggressive that they can damage your hair閳ユ獨 cuticle layer. Others contain high doses of moisturizer- too much, perhaps, for your hair. To help you find a shampoo that works for your hair type, many manufacturers creates formulas for specific hair types.

Daily or normal shampoos are middle-of the road shampoos with a balance of cleaning and moisturizing properties. Moisturizing shampoos contains less detergent than other shampoos. They also boast a generous dose of conditioners to attract and retain moisture, making them ideal for dry, damaged, permed, or colour-treated hair.

Deep cleansing or oily hair shampoo contain a concentrated dose of detergents to remove impurities and oils. These often rough up the cuticle, for this reason, only the oiliest of the oily among you should use these-experiments first with normal hair shampoos. If they don閳ユ獩 leave your hair as clean as you閳ユ獓 like it, then try an oily hair formula. Speciality formulas include shampoos to add body to limp hair, make grey hair sparkle, or coddle coloured strands.

When washing hair, concentrate shampoo at the roots and allow shampoo to slide down the hair shaft as it is being rinsed out. Lathering the entire head creates tangles and dries out the hair閳ユ獨 fragile ends.

My hair is too long?

I've had my long hair. My husband David loves it long. Most people would say your hair your business. My husband David is blind and loves my long hair and even calls it his security blanket. My hair is past my butt. I have triplets age 4 1/2 mos. I cut it once. I had the hair dresser take off 6 inches and he had a fit and he was mad at me. He was so upset. Do you think I should leave it alone? Any SOUND advice?

My hair is too long?

what makes him happy , makes u happy. so just leave it long, u have nothing to lose and everything to gain...his love and happpiness

My hair is too long?

I think you should leave it long but its your decision

My hair is too long?

Well if it would really upset him that much, dont do it. You want him to be happy right?

But then again, you should try and make yourself happy too.

My hair is too long?

With triplets that young I think you should get it cut shorter, tell him you love him and will grow it out again later.

My hair is too long?

Leave it.

My hair is too long?

I think you should leave it long or do what you want to do. I know your husband will understand. My hair is pass my butt too. And all my friends love it. But I want to chop off like 1 inch or 2. I know my friends will get upset but i know they will understand.

My hair is too long?

leave it alone and make a world record lol no really let it be! just brush it and stuff

My hair is too long?

If and when you do get it cut, go to another hairdresser.. anyone who would freak out over making money on a haircut is not professional.

You could cut your hair to your mid back maybe, just to make it a little easier to deal with so you don't accidentally find your hair/braid hanging in a dirty baby's diaper while youre in a mad frenzy to change all the kids lol

My hair is too long?

i think u should go for it just try to make him understand.

My hair is too long?

I think it is nice that you have kept it long for your hubby, but enough is enough. Security blankets are for babies, and if you are done with it, he needs to be too. Frankly, hair past your but isn't attractive anyway...and with 3 babies?? You need to put yourself first in this time when YOU are low on the list. He will have to understand. It's not like you are going to get it super short I assume.

My hair is too long?

Your hair should be the length that YOU are comfortable with. If you don't like it cut it, it is YOUR hair.

My hair is too long?

thats not really his choice, but if you really care, decide on a length you like and he feels comfortable with. x閳绢櫨閳绢櫨閳绢櫨

My hair is too long?

I really think you should cut it, it just doesnt seem healthy or easy with three little ones running around!! Just talk to your husband and tell him why you want to cut it, and maybe he needs to just let some of it go- it is just hair!!

My hair is too long?

I think that is much too long. Lots of problems can come from that AND it probably doesn't look that good seeing as though your ends are probably at least six years old. I say get it cut. Hair that long is not beautiful, or becoming, sorry. Tell him that you're sorry, but it's your hair, your decision and that you think that it's just too much. If he doesn't like it....oh well.

My hair is too long?

talk to him about it, ask him about how short he wouldn't mind you cutting it. when it comes down to it though, it is YOUR hair.

good luck though!%26lt;3

My hair is too long?

well its ur choice, you can always tie it up if it annoys you

My hair is too long?

you should leave the length of it but get some layers to make it look better! =)

My hair is too long?

1] it's your hair. You have to look at it, not him.

2] tactile sensation is very important to sight-impaired people.

3] triplets at 4 and 1/2 months! WOW! that's a lot of work!

Suggest a deal with your husband - you tell him before you trim or cut it, so he can get used to the idea.

I had hair to my butt, trimmed regularly.

I cut 6 inches off with the first baby.

I cut another 6 inches with the second.

Then I retired, so I wouldn't have to cut my hair any more.

It is actually less work, in my opinion, when it is at least to your shoulders - you have more styling options [ chignon, ponytail, french twist, braid, etc. ] with less prep [ blow outs, curling irons, etc. ]

My hair is too long?

If You are not happy with it and really want to then cut it.!!!

Try to make him understand In a relationship his happiness should be your happiness and Viceversa. He should understand.

because if you are not happy with it then the only reason you would not cut it is because you feel sorry for him...

If he calls it his Security blanket then he oviously is unsecure about something, i would recomend seeing a marriage counseler because sometimes The real problem is much deeper the just a hair cut.

If you dont want to go to extremes...then just talk to Him.

wish you the best.

remember love understands.

My hair is too long?

cut it dont care for ur husband about ur hair if u cant go to the bathroom with worry about ur hair

My hair is too long?

you should honestly tell him that despite the fact he likes it long, you dont and prefer it short. he needs to get over it. it must be hard having long hair and young children. just say it gently.

[[dont cut him slack bc he's blind either]]

My hair is too long?

well, it's your head, your body, your decision. HOWEVER- I personally would not make that kind of change without at least telling my husband... and if he's blind, it probably IS a bigger deal to him than to most husbands. BUT- talk to him about it. talk about how much u want to get cut off. and if ur hair is still super long, which it sounds like it is, what r u gonna do with it? consider "locks of love", an organization that makes wigs out of human hair for ppl suffering from diseases that render them hairless, like cancer. Talk to your hubby about the practicality of it all- taking care of the babies, and whatever you have to do for him. and then, if u decide to donate your locks, the good it would do for someone else. take his feelings and opinions into account, but ultimitly, its your call.

My hair is too long?

As long as it doesn't interfere with your job, I guess its OK.

I believe this is stricktly between you and your husband.

I Cr 13;8a

My hair is too long?

you could cut it like 3 inches, it will still be long=]

My hair is too long?

Dont cut your hair. Im a guy and im growing my hair long. My fiancee has NEVER cut her hair since she was born. And she does not plan on ever cutting her hair.

My hair is too long?

If you decide to cut your long hair you can sell it at: http://hairbuyer.com

My hair is too long?

Cut them,10 more inches...It is not got for the health of your babies...And explain to your husband that later, you will leave them, and they'll get longer than now...I suppose he loves your babies, and cares about them!

So cut them a little bit more

My hair is too long?

Do you like it long? I can't think of any good reason to cut it. Your husband is happy with it, and just as long as it's in good condition, I'm sure it's very attractive. I'd suggest keeping it long.

My hair is too long?

If you put your hair up when you are with the triplets like in a braided bun it would be easier for you and your husband will still know you have long hair. But it really is your decision because YOU are the one who has to deal with it every day. You might want to explain to your husband why your long hair is getting in the way and that it is just too hard to keep it long.

My hair is too long?

my daughter has beautiful black hair . she grows it out till she can set on it then donates it to locks of love after a while , then she does the different styles while waiting for it to grown out again, this year she donated over three feet of hair 40 inches. and it is for a good cause, maybe that would help himunderstand and accept the change once every few years. it is temporary , it will grow back and it is for a good cause

good luck

Grow hair longer...really?

1. i had hair about down to my breast (a lil above my nipple) and i was trying to grow it really long maybe to my belly button or something, and my hair dresser told me i have to get rid of all my layers so she cut about 2 inches off. i regret gettin it cut at all becuase it seems like it hasnt grown alot ever since. she also cut my bangs n they havent really grown either. my hairs always been slow to grow. and it seems like other girls can cut their long hair, then it will grow back within 2 months! what the hell!! i hate having short hair, and ive never had really really long hair. it seems to be in these days %26amp; i think it would look real sexy.

2. people say biotin works well, and im gonna try it. does it really work? somebody else said it doesnt actually help your hair grow faster it just makes it healthier n stronger so it will help grow. is this true? and should i try it?

Grow hair longer...really?

Nothing will make your hair grow faster. Its all just genetically programmed. All you can do is look after your hair so it isn't as damaged and doesn't need as many trims.

If it's winter where you are, that will be why your hair is growing slowly. During the colder months, hair grows more slowly, and then speeds up as summer approaches. This is just a natural cycle.

Some people's hair has a natural point at which it stops growing. My Grandmother always wanted long hair but it never grew longer than her shoulders, no matter how long she waited.

Just keep waiting. It'll happen eventually. It took me a few years to grow my hair long, and I started with my hair at chin length. I've had it long for years and I had to cut it to mid upper arm length because it was too long at one stage and got stuck in car doors and things.

Just wait it out. It'll happen eventually. It's only a matter of time.

Grow hair longer...really?

if u brush ur hair more often it helps it grow faster it works i have done it before

Grow hair longer...really?

i no what you mean i'm trying to grow my hair that long to its like half way down my back now almost and it seems like it wont grow and my friend that had realy long hair got it cut and now like 2 months later its almost the same length it gets me so mad.

Grow hair longer...really?

There is nothing scientificly proven to help hair grow faster...some people have ideas, but that's usually all they are. Some therories usually have to do with diet...like eating more protien. However, if you have your hair regularly trimed to keep the ends looking nice and neat it can help appear to hair to look longer.

Grow hair longer...really?

hair grows at an average rate of 1/2 inch a month (scientific fact). eat healthy, and treat your hair kindly and it will be healthy enough to get to the length you want w/o breaking.

Grow hair longer...really?

you should try nioxin hair pills

it helps your hair grow really fast.

i had hair at my shoulders and took one pill a day

kno my hair is almost at my belly button

and its only been like 1 1/2 months

good luck:D
