Has anyone ever had long hair and then had to cut it for a reason??? Im tramatized and i hate my hai

Well, I'm a 23 year old female who has always had long hair and I loved it. A few months ago I got extensions in and when I had them taken out on saturday my real hair length was magically above my shoulders!!!!!!!!!

IM NOW TRAMATIZED!!!!!!!! I dont know how to do my hair and I feel like im soooo ugly now! Does anyone have any hair-do suggestions??? please help me if you can.

NOTE: my hair is a little bit longer than my jaw and passes the bottom of my ear slightly........... and I only got extensions to add fullness to my hair since its so thin, and my hair dresser used ceritean gluebonds for my extesions. Also she suiggested for me to put them back in my hair, and she sounded like she just wanted to be able to charge me more! Rather than look out what is good for me and my hair

: (

tea tear tear tear tear ........

YEP

From half way down my back to all gone - in one go.

Mainly because of changing to a job that meant early starts so no time to shower in morning with long hair ..... but also from going bald.

And the day I did it ................. I went to see ACDC, boy were my mates shocked.

Be thankful you don't have cancer, you would be bald.

I used to have long hair until one of my former band members shaved my head after a bet. Ever since, my hair won't grow out right, so I just keep it short (hey, it worked for Metallica!)...

If your hair was really thin to begin with that usually looks not good with long hair anyway so maybe she did you a huge favor. Try putting layers in it and embrace it. There is nothing you can do about it at this point, so make the best of what you have. I would definatly go to a new stylist. Ask the person what would look good on you and actually interview them for the job. How long have they been cutting hair?, Do they keep up to date with classes and seminars? How many regulars do they have? What are the ages of most of there clients? All these questions are very important. Good Luck, and Im sure you look great, it will just take time to get used to!

u should let your natural hair show. its better that way than god knows when that extension might accidentaly fall off. anyways theres plenty of short hair fashion that u could put up with ur new hairstyle. i know because i had short hair before, really short, and i was afraid to go to school, but hey i looked up some solutions.

this has got to help, its jus up to u to do it :)

I had my hair 6 inches above my hips and i just got it cut

2 days ago. Now it is 1 in below my shoulder. I got it cut

because I have really thick hair and it gets really puffy so

i cut it, but then I found out that the shorter I cut it the puffier!

So i have to put on this hair lotion stuff and try to straighten

my hair so it won't be puffy.

You'll be fine, it will grow. :p At first it will be weird, but then

you realize that you don't have to spend as much time

brushing the 7 miles of hair. :p

Not me myself, but my girlfriend, she had long hair but after a while decided she wanted to stand out. She had it cut to about 4 inches long and then spiked it outwards a little, it looked really cool. Short hair is definitely no bad thing so don't worry about it, just chill out and enjoy the new style for a little while. It's not going to last forever.

Change is good. If you always wear your hair long, then having it a bit shorter would be a nice change. Its only hair, and it will grow back!

Well first I would change hair dressers. The new one might be able to help out with a cute style, and your current dresser doesn't sound to sympathetic. now without knowing if you have curly hair or not, shape of your face and things like that I cannot suggest a way to wear, but trust me long hair is over rated, I keep mine shoulder length and I can do everything long hair people do to their hair (pony tails, french twists, etc) without all the bulk of long hair, I am cooler in the summer and when winter comes I have enough to keep me warm. up keep on my hair is cheaper than it was when it was long, I use less shampoo, it brushes out easier, and it dries quicker. I know your use to your hair being one way but you might find you like this way better. As for a style, try going to Barnes and noble or any other bookstore that sells magazines and look for the hair magazines, find something you like and take it to your new hair dresser. Most hair dressers can do a style and cut just by the pic

wow, sounds like your hairdresser either messed up or wasn't upfront with you in the beginning that a glue bond means shorter hair once they come out.

Go for a layered coif cut - it's still soft and feminine (like long hair) and makes the grow-out much easier.

Plus you can tassle it to look a bit wavy and unkempt (like a roll-out-of-bed surfer)

or straighten it (and shine it) for an elegant, formal do.

Then, later, when it gets a little longer, the adorable 'short' ponytail:

I'm sorry about your bad hair experience! that's so frustrating! But don't worry - your hair will grow back, and there are a lot of really cute things you can do with shorter hair. :)

Good luck!
