Male hair cuts in NY city?

I have shoulder length curly hair. I want to impress my girl and get a nice hair cut for our anniversary. I am thinking of some form of layers, with about an inch or 2 cut off.

So my question is any good MALE hair dressers in NY city that could do this?

why should it matter whether the person is male or female it all depends on how well they can cut your hair this is my suggestion if you see someone with a nice haircut then you go to up to them say that you love their hair and ask them where they get it done the person will be flattered and they will automatically tell u where they go
