Hair styles for an 8th grader.?

i have thick,frizzy,DRY,curly hair. What is a quick hairstyle i can do for school?. Please dont say straight because i cant straighten my hair because its to dry and it takes 2 hours to straighten. usually i put mousse gel and hairspray in my hair but sometimes frizz breaks through those products. how can i style my hair without frizz showing? by the way my hair comes down to the middle of my upper arm and its angled. and if any one kn ows a hair cut to make my hair thinner and lighter please help me. and dont tell me to thin it out because myhair dresser said it would totally ruin my hair.

With very thick hair and expecialy frizzy DO NOT get layers because the shorter layers will frizz up even more and poof out and will turn even more uncontrollable.. i also have extremly thick frizzy hair and i have just had it slightly layered at the bottem its called graduating and i no u said dont say straighning but i was in the same case i had a pair of hair straightners that all my friends used and recommednded and loads of people recommended them but they still took 2 and a half hours to straighten my hair and they would leave my hair realy dry and even worse and i have just got a new pair the MK4 ghd they are about 鎷?00 (a lot of money i no but worth it) and it now takes around 15 mins to completly straighten my hair and it leaves it shinny and very silky, it worth getting a pair you will be amazed!!... :)

Has anyone seen "Ciao Manhattan" ?? Is there anyone who is a fan of Edie Sedgwick?

I am planning on cutting my hair quite short. A.T.M it is below the shoulders %26amp; dark. I think I want to go blonde but was wondering of the best ways of gradually going lighter. Any particular products you recommend?

The reason I brought up Edie is that I love her but my hair is too thick to go that short. I like the colour tho for me.

You can still go short if you have thick hair. It's all in the cut. I'd advise some razoring with a pretty sharp undercut. If you do anything else, you are not doing the Edie. Siena Miller's hair is fairly thick and she pulled it off.

As for going blonde, home blonding always looks cheap. I would go professional on this. With very short hair, single process blonde (what Edie had) will not be that expensive.

Ohh myy godd!!!!!! ok i know this sounds relly stupid but i thought it would be fun to cut my own hair. So i trimmed my side bangs and they turned out beautiful... so i decided i could do layers, i tried to do layers now i have this big chunk and the bottoms reelllyy thin.. im 13 and my mom wont take me to the hair dressers today, thank god its saturday. the one layer is two inches below my chin, and the rest is like down to my breast OMG WHAT DO I DO ? or what should i ask for at the hair dressers to fix it and make it look nice ?

When you go to get you hair cut get it cut so that it's short in the verv front and then eventually goes back into the length it is now. My friend has her hair like tat and it's really pretty.

Hi, I really want to get some fake ( not human hair) extensions. Can I buy them off the internet and take them to a hair dresser to have them dyed and cut or am I better of going to a salon and getting them orderd in from the actual hairdressers?

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 5 years and my expertise is in hair extensions. There is no way you can recolor fake hair. Fake hair is synthetic fibers so if you try anything of that sort it will either tangle or melt. You will have to go human hair on this one. If you don't know a good brand, go to a stylist to help you out.

The best hing to do is to get the colour that you want, go to a store first to make sure that you will order the correct colour. Hair extensions can be darkened with care but no lightened. The lightening process can melt fake extensions.

The best thing to do is check with your local salons to make sure that they are willing to put them in for you. We used to do them if they where the strip extensions and the glue was provided also. So it depends on what type you order.

Your hair stylist does not get minimum wage or less - like the wait staff, bartender, car valet. Most hair dresser gets 50% or more of what YOU just spent in the salon + bonuses,.And if you bought some products (they insist you need, like shampoo etc, ) they get even more. Ladies, honestly, that $200+ bill you just plunked down for your cut %26amp; color, while your stylist attended 2 clients as your color came up, just made $300+ for their pocket. Why are we tipping them? If they are a professional they should not be tipped. You don't tip your doctor, your tax guy, or your mechanic - why should we tip the professional hair dresser? I am not taking about the discount hair salon chains with the low cost cuts - I am talking about the salon who wants you to have "an experience" because of all their "ambiance". I say it is time to stop this tip %26amp; hope you 'll "experience" the ambiance of a bit more cash to tip the person at minimum wage - they need it, not your professional stylist.

AMEN!!!!!! It's getting to where you need a small personal loan to get a f---king haircut. I totally agree. I don't tip nothing more than a 4 dollar tip. Call me cheap or whatever, but I refuse to pay someone with NO EDUCATION $100 more an hour just because you will call me cheap. by the time the hour ends some of them are making $75 to $100 an hour. That's bull sh--t.

I read this and laughed. It is true and it's funny. Getting your haircut and styled or whatever...costs alot...why tip?

If that is how you feel, I hope I never see you in my salon. I went to school for 2 years to learn how to do hair, and we don't make as much as you seem to think we do. We do not get any sort of hourly pay at all. The only income we have is given to us by our customers. If we are lucky enough to make $500 a week, $125 goes towards booth rent, and about $200 goes towards products (back bar, color, developer, perms, etc.) So we only really get to bring home maybe $200 a week. A tip is not required anywhere you go. It is to show that you appreciate the work that has been done, to show that you like your hair, or you appreciate the prompt service that the waiter/waitress gave you. You need to open up your mind.

My hair is really curly but my hair dresser straightened it and now I need to know what kind of products I should be using?? I know I need a hair serum. Remington slim wet2straight Straightener is really really fantastic. I use it, and it replaces blow drying and helps styling. There's 30 heat settings and a hair guide so you can straighten your hair while it's still wet, and it has steam sensors so it won't damage your hair. Takes about 10-15 mins for you length hair. If not, just get some bain de terre all day straight gel, or aquage products for straighteneing. Best of Luck!

I too have curly hair, really really curly hair. When ever I get it straighted i use John Freeda Collection serum. It works amazing. You can also use this when your hair is curly. When getting out of the shower put two or three pumps into your hair and work it through, put it in a bun, and go to sleep with it. When you wake it, it looks AMAZING. so its like a 2 for 1 special!!!

i have SUPER curly hair.

if i dont brush it alot i look like shirley temple.

so what i do is use.....

*shampoo and conditioner--garnier fructis sleek and shine

*right out of the shower--studio heat seeker straightening cream by loreal.

*straightener--im not sure what its called. but i got it at walmart for cheap...$24 i think. its from conair and its black. it should say that it has "high alpha heat" on the little plastic thing it comes in.

Highlights for very dark hair?

I have dark dark chocolate brown hair (looks black). I want to high light my hair again but im afraid to mess it up, because my friend did and it looked way bad.

Im looking for a color that blends in with my hair, a natural tint.

I used to have them but they wore off and i got the last of them cut off.

Can a hair stylist/dresser or anyone with hair like mine with highlights give me some tips for colors!!

OH AND PS- NOT LOOKING FOR ANY WACKY COLOR LIKE NO PINK OR BLUE OR GREEN.. JUST LIKE A CARAMEL.. or a bronze.. something like that.
