She is a friend of the family and has cut my hair for 10 years. She is now charging $100 per haircut. I don't know how to tel her I am going to go out and find another hairdresser. Help.

Well it depends...is she worth it? I got a haircut from a designer place in Boston and it WAS worth it, even if it was expensive. If she is good enough, then you can just ask her if she can lower the price a little, because you have to make a living. Imagine if you ever have kids and you still go to her, you would have to pay like $300. Switch for a little and if you don't like your new hairdresser, then go back.
